CC Tuning S3 1.8T

S3 dyno run

CC Tuning's S3

We have recently been doing some work on our Audi S3 1.8t which is now making well over 300bhp and more to come….
Modifications that we have done so far include, full boost hose kit, including over sized turbo intake pipe and forge motorsport 008 diverter valve, Forge motorsport front mounted intercooler, KO4 hybrid turbo with forge motorsport actuator, relentless high flow manifold, with decat and milltek exhaust system, 550cc genisis injectors, cooler spark plugs and K&N replacement filter. We have have also rebuilt the engine using integrated engineering uprated connecting rods, high flow head and performance clutch.
The list is long but at the moment we have reached 315bhp and 460nm torque and a MAF reading of 286gs only running 1.5bar of boost. We believe that we can get an extra 25bhp out of this turbo with a bit more development over the next couple of weeks.
The engine is now future proof for over 500bhp so there will be even more to come in the future.

CCTuning remap

Thought I would give my feedback after getting my car remapped yesterday by Chris @ CCTuning. Me and a mate with a 2008 Golf 2.0 GTTDI took advantage of his latest offer of 2 cars for £300. I use my car every day for work and cover around 2k miles a month (mostly motorway) so the tought of gaining a little extra power with better fuel economy was very appealing.

My car is a 2007 Passat S 1.9 TDI. Put the car on the rollers and it made 114 BHP and 300 Nm of Torque. Chris worked his magic on the laptop and the car now has 143 BHP and 350Nm of Torque.

My mates golf went from 142 BHP to 174 and from 350 Nm of torque to 405.

It now feels like a completely different car. It’s a lot more responsive and the power delivery feels a lot smoother across a broader rev range. It’s never gonna do the quarter mile in sub 10 seconds but once it’s in 3rd gear it really does start to pick up. Accelerating down the slip road to join the motorway is a vast improvement. It will easily pull to 90 mph before changing to 5th.
And then when on the motorway cruising at 70 in 5th gear and putting your foot down will very quickly get you to 100+. (I don’t drive at excessive speeds much but driving from CCTuning in Burton on Trent back home in Portsmouth gave me a good opportunity to try different styles of driving on a variety of roads).

And then the really good bit, On the journey there I averaged 46.2 mpg across 165 miles. On the way home I averaged 52.1 mpg.

I really can’t recomend these guys enough. Chris really knew his stuff and this shows in the way my car now drives. Also the guys in the unit next door do an amazing mini valet. £10 and there were 3 guys working on the car for 45 minutes. It really did look and feel like a brand new car on the way home.

Audi A4 110 tdi

Posted on by CCTuning

Hi Chris,
thanks for doing such a great job on my TDi yesterday!
it pulls so much better in town and motorway, also cruising is 300 RPM lower…
at current calculation I think MPG will be over 10% improved too so looks good all-round.

I’m very impressed that I can still run biodiesel and get so much torque,
will certainly be recomending your services on the Audi and TDi forums.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris at CCTuning for a friendly and reliable service during my recent ‘Leon remap’ session.
Me and the mssus set off @7:55am for a 12 o’clock appointment. 211 miles later, we arrived at CCTuning’s HQ @11:30!
The wife sat in the lovely warm office while I watched Chris wave his magic wand at my Reference Sport.

I have to post about my Ford Galaxy 140TDCI Chris did a map for me a couple of weeks ago at the time he told me that the ECU on the Fords take some time to adjust and that as time and miles go on the power would increase. Well before Chris did his magic the car did a respectable 146.8 BHP and 334 NM after Chris did his work we had 159 BHP and 403nm Torque.
He said it would get better as the ECU learned the new map, I hadn\’t come across this before but I hadn\’t had an engine mapped for over 4 years and we all know about new technology and the spped it changes.
After 500-600 miles I felt it getting better I describe it like we are getting there very quickly yet it seems we are not rushing it\’s the smoothest map I have ever had.
I was getting happier as time went on so I phoned Chris to say how much better it was getting and I would like to know what power it has now. He found some time a few days later and I went over and had it back on the dyno….. The results were amazing we now have 169.4BHP and a MASSIVE 422.5NM torque. No wonder I felt it was getting better!!!!
I am a person who likes facts, the placebo effect doesn\’t work with me as I\’ve been tuning racing 2 strokes for over 20 years there is too much Bull Sh1t around.
What upsets me is when people will say “well we could do better maybe 185BHP and 450NM”
They have no dyno and no proof but people will go there and pay good money, honestly you have to wonder how a professional tuning company can exist without a dyno?
Chris has been around a long time and knows his stuff he does not Bull Sh1t in fact he doesn\’t over sell himself he lets his work do the talking if you want a professional job done by one of the nicest people around give Chris a call you too will become another happy CC tuned customer.

Audi A3 MY10 1.9tdi 105

Posted on by CCTuning

Hi Chris,

Hope you’re well. The remap has got better and better and has made a world of difference to the car. The other half took it to work today(first time driving it) while I cleaned hers on my day off and unfortunately fell in love with the it! She returned home to say would a remap make a difference to a diesel car like her Beetle.

Thanks
